Hi there! My name is Lan. I joined the Rothfels lab in fall 2021 as an undergraduate student, exploring how we can model evolutionary process variations among morphological characters in phylogenetic inferences. Besides phylogenetics, I am also broadly interested in many aspects of plants, such as their divergence and diversification patterns, morphologies, and systematics, which all stemmed from my early-on interests in breeding ornamental cultivars and translating taxonomy literature from English to Chinese.
